Position Summary:        Employee works under the direct
supervision of the McClellan Development Authority’s Director. This position
involves preparing annual budgets, performing financial analyses, and
forecasting various financial activities in support of the McClellan
Development Authority Economic Development efforts.

Salary:                           Commensurate with experience

Position Requirements:

Skills:                             Skilled in the operation of financial computer software to                                include Microsoft software products and Quickbooks.

Ability to:                        Ability to analyze financial statements and company balance sheets. In-depth knowledge on all aspects of budget preparation and management, financial statements and general ledger accounting.

Required Qualifications:  Must have accounting degree or comparable experience.

References:                   Professional and personal references are required.

Duties:                           Maintains central accounting system, including general ledger and supporting journals. Included within accounting responsibilities are: administration of payroll, fixed asset purchases, cash management activities to include investment of cash reserves and control of all disbursements, collection of receivables, and management of account payables and reconciliation of all bank

Responsible for the preparation of MDA quarterly and annual financial reports for Director and Board of Directors; prepares other reports as required.

Oversee human resource procedures and paperwork.

Coordinates annual examination of financial statements with Director and public accounting firm. (audit) 

Maintain internal fiscal controls for the organization. Assist in maintaining records of deeds, mortgages, contracts, and other sensitive documents.

Other duties as may be assigned by the Director.
