Over 900 acres were transferred by the McClellan Development Authority to the Calhoun County Commission to build horse trails at McClellan. The members of the Back Country Horsemen of America, Alabama, McClellan Chapter are responsible for building and maintaining the trails. The BCHA are members who belong to the national 501(c) (3) non-profit organization serving 194 local and state chapters across the country. The McClellan Chapter is the largest chapter in the state of Alabama.
