Center for Domestic Preparedness

In June 1998, the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) opened its doors 
as a training center for the Nation’s emergency responders.  The CDP’s mission is to operate a federal training center for delivery of high quality, comprehensive preparedness training programs.  The CDP develops and delivers training for emergency response providers from state, local, and tribal governments and when appropriate, the federal government, foreign governments, and private entities.  
 

JSU Field Schools

From Alabama’s deepest canyon to it’s highest mountain, JSU Field Schools is your source for learning about the unique culture and natural history of Northeast Alabama. Programs are conducted throughout the year with offerings as varied as the area’s biodiversity.  Past programs include papermaking, storytelling, archaeological tours, beginning birding and frog pond exploration.  For more information call 256-782-5697.
