The Donoho School has a campus of approximately 75 acres is located in the beautiful foothills of the southern Appalachian Mountains. Anniston is easily accessible with two exits on Interstate Route 20 approximately 60 miles from Atlanta, Georgia, to the east, and Birmingham, Alabama, to the west.
The Upper, Middle and Lower divisions are in separate buildings though closely located. The academic facilities are designed to accommodate the college preparatory program and accentuate the learning environment.
The atmosphere for learning is typified by the Harriet Wallis Donoho Library that makes available to students over 14,000 volumes, distributes over 1000 teaching units of audio visual software, and provides reference materials available on CD-ROMs and online for curriculum enrichment. Faith Christian School is a ministry of Faith Presbyterian Church of Anniston, Alabama. Its purpose is to provide an exceptional educational program for each individual from a Biblical perspective challenging the whole student, offering a college preparatory education, and equipping each student to serve God and others in a global society. It is a board-governed school fully accredited by SACS/AdvancEd and is a member of ACSI. Faith Christian School competes in AHSAA and Calhoun County athletics. Sacred Heart School has moved its operations to the former McClellan elementary school (59,000 square feet) in August 2000. Over 200 students are currently enrolled in the pre-K through 12h grade. Sacred Heart school provides children with quality education in a friendly, open, atmosphere. The elementary curriculum offers art, music, Spanish, religion, and computers, as well as the core curriculum. A reading specialist serves grades 1-4 and assists students in developing their new reading skills.
High school course offerings include college prep level courses and dual enrollment courses (for college credit through Jacksonville State University.) This gives students the academic boost that they need to become the distinguished leaders of tomorrow! Sacred Heart also provides reading intervention for at risk students in grades 1-4. Students are encouraged to develop good reading and study skills.
